About the Role:

Sunthetics is seeking a Director of Engineering who will lead our engineering team, ensuring the successful execution of our product roadmap and the delivery of high-quality software.

This role reports directly to the CEO and requires close collaboration to drive innovation, improve processes, and enhance our product offerings.

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Engineering, your role leads and shapes the engineering team within a dynamic and growing company.  It will be key to collaborate with a passionate and talented team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

1). Leadership and Management:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of top engineering talent.
• Establish clear objectives and performance metrics for the engineering team.
• Work with the CEO to develop and manage the department’s budget.

2). Product Development:

• Collaborate with the CEO to define and prioritize product features, deliverables, and roadmaps.
• Ensure the engineering team delivers high-quality and efficient code on time and within budget.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide technical oversight to ensure adherence to best practices and code quality.
• Drive the adoption of best practices, new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance development efficiency and product quality.
• Lead the architectural design and technical roadmap of the company's products.

3). Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with others to ensure alignment on product goals and customer needs.
• Facilitate effective collaboration between the engineering team and other stakeholders.
